Extra virgin olive
is produced from the approximately 3,500 plants located in the hill behind the
Villa di Bagnolo and at the foot of Monte Ferrato.
Harvesting is done manually
in small crates and the cold pressing takes place within a day of harvesting.
The varieties are
the typical Tuscan ones: Moraiolo, Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino.
In 2018 the extra
virgin olive oil of the Villa di Bagnolo was awarded as the best oil of the
Province of Prato.
